Birthday Joy

It was the morning after we celebrated her fourth birthday.

Before anyone even noticed:

She picked out her clothes AND dressed herself (in her new outfit gifted from Mimi).

She grabbed her balloons (from her favorite aunt and uncle).

She ran outside.

Into the sunshine.

Into a beautiful morning with just enough breeze to carry her almost deflated helium balloons in the air.

And she danced.

After looking out the window and discovering where she was I attempted to capture her lingering birthday joy on film. (Of course the photos really do no justice). But it makes me very happy to look at them again all the same.

Dancing with your shadow is the best.
